As always a quick trot through the betting as we are in the work, eat, sleep, no spare time schedule but not before a word for our lovely two or three tables of ladies who both bet with us and entertained us in equal measure us all day long. Matthew was most certainly kept on his toes!
Our lovely lady in yellow also gave us a really interesting punter's perspective into what they were looking for and we were happy to oblige. A job at CairnBet new R&D department will always be available! And the whole group came within a whisker of cleaning several thousand pounds out of the CairnBet coffers! It also shows we're never too long in the tooth to learn! I promised our lady (whose name I'm ashamed to say I never got) a photo in our blog and here it is! A nicer group of folk it would be hard to find!

1) We stuck 6 in but not the top two in the market and started with a solid win topped up by cracking places to get off to a good start on the jolly Victorious. I'll resist the obvious gag...
2) Stuck another two in here and, unfortunately, one of them was Limestone who beat two of our jackpots, Del Maro and Ranga Tang despite both of them trading crazy short in running. Absolute heartbreaker as jackpot (either or) turned into max loss and most of our race 1 profit disappeared in a haze of tears.
3) Blue Bolt in singles, doubles and trebles gave us another step backwards though places eased a fair chunk of the pain. We were a smidge behind in book and expenses don't come cheap in our pilgrimage down south.
4) Another race, another jolly, another loss. And our ladies were on the verge of a monster jackpot- 3 favs out of 4 and if the next one went in we'd have a conga line of payouts. We needed a big finish.
5) Unfortunately for our Ladies Archivist was never in it and we finally hit a cracking result with Rogue Diplomat and we avoided all the place bogeys to add a cherry on the top. And, yes, for the gag connoisseur, we did say Scoville was "red hot" with every bet. And, of course, our ladies got the gag which made us love them even more. We were ahead.
6) Something of a bingo book and another jolly obliged. A bore draw for us after places but we were grateful it wasn't a step backwards.
7) Threw the top two in and got full reward for easily our best result of the day and more each way delight and we hit a genuine jackpot. Churlish of me to point out that the 2nd was a bona fide skinner but I'm going to anyway.
4 races of toil to end with a couple of great results to give us a decent winning day in the end. Winning nicely in the first and not losing in the 6th at least gave us a platform if we did hit a couple of results later which, fortunately we did.
